The
global objective was the preparation of four different
discussion papers to serve as background for discussion
in the scheduled ASEM conference in the second
half of 2009 on "The Role of Finance in Economic
and Rural Development: Experiences in Asia and
Europe" and on "The Sustainability of
the Asian Growth Model".
