Statistics in Montenegro need to be strengthened and modernised, aiming at harmonisation with international standards, particularly those adopted by the European Statistical System (ESS).
Aim of the project is to provide services, supplies and the actions to carry out to assist the overall organisation and management of the statistical sector in order

-to provideTechnical Assistance including the organisation of training activities in Montenegro and Abroad (component 1),
-to support the Organisation of the Census (component 2),
-to prepare procurement of Information technology (IT) equipment and standard software (component 3)
-to undertake feasibility studies and user needs assessment regarding statistical applications (component 4)

The Direct TA team is composed of the Implementation Manager (team leader), assisted by a series of short-term experts and by local assistants.
Other priority fields of activity refer to: training in English Language, IT, basICSTATistics; procurement of IT hardware and software.
